We hired Mark Ellis in February 2011 to replace the flooring in our kitchen. We had decided on ceramic tile which he installed impeccably. He also repaired the plaster on the ceiling and walls. During the course of the renovation, Mark had many creative ideas regarding paint colors, using multiple colors in the room to compliment the surrounding rooms and also accent pieces/hardware to give the room a uniform look. We are entirely pleased and satisfied with the work Mark did for us.

Mark Ellis not only created amagnificent custom built bookcasein my house, but blended it seamlessly into our 100 year old home, so much so that others believe it’s original to our home. He kept our house clean, didn’t mind periodic interventions from our pets and kids, andwas done on time and on budget. Additionally, he’s done all kinds of other jobs at our house,earning our trustsuch that I’m comfortable calling Mark and asking him to pop over and fix something while I’m at work.

Mark has done the following for Canterbury House at U of M....Construction of shelving, soffit repair, squirrel removal, scraping and caulking of front entry and basement window, replacement of utility sink pump, exterior sign painting, fence painting and repair, painting of office walls, general thorough cleaning, installation of sensor lights and switch, appliance cleaning, repair of basement handrail, wood floor cleaning and treatment, deck cleaning and treatment, installation of door hinges.

Mark Ellis and his crew performed a number of projects at our sorority. He repaired and repainted walls and the ceiling in the living room after another carpenter and his helper did a terrible job. He came on short notice and cleaned out some drains that were clogged, and also did some caulking in two bathrooms. He worked on the front door and made it close properly. He performed other repair jobs that we needed done, and always did what he said he would do, in a timely manner.
